3 simple ways to grow your blog traffic with Pinterest
1) Create multiple pins for one blog post
Yes! This is one of the best strategies to check what’s working. Instead of creating just one pin graphic for your blog post, create 3 totally different pin graphics.
The pins can differ in their respective sizes (600 X 900, 600 X1000, or 700 X 1200), fonts, color scheme, pin title, and descriptions.
By creating 3 different pin graphics, you are able to test which one gets the most number of clicks. You can then go on and create similar pins for your other blog posts.
Also, you won’t be spamming your boards or group boards when you will pin 3 different pins (even if they lead to one single blog post).
Thus, make it a point, to create 3 different pins for each blog post.
2) Create new pins for older posts
What we usually do is that we create a pin (s) for a blog post, pin it to several topic-specific boards and group boards, and schedule it on Tailwind. We then move on to another blog post and repeat the same process.
Well, there’s nothing wrong in this process and that’s how it should be done. But once we move on to another post, we totally forget about the older posts. Now, this is wrong.
See, to get consistent traffic to old posts, one should regularly create new pin graphics. Pinterest is favoring fresh new pins to the platform.
So, let’s say it’s been 6 months since you published a particular post. It’s now time to create a new pin for that post, in order to revive its traffic. There are hundreds of pins getting posted daily on Pinterest. After a while, it is important to come back to the platform to upload a new graphic for your old blog post.
Also, you should create new pin graphics for seasonal content every year. Let’s say, you have a post related to Thanksgiving that you posted last year. A month and half before Thanksgiving, you should create a new pin for that post. Then start pinning it to your relevant boards. This is done to revive the traffic to your old Thanksgiving post.
Do this for all the seasonal content on your blog.
3) Pin popular third party content
Yes! One of the best ways to grow your Pinterest profile (and thereby your blog traffic) is to pin popular third party content. You are curating a Pinterest account that will attract your ideal audience, thus increase followers.
By ‘popular third party content’, I mean those pins that belong to some other blogger in your niche, and that is quite popular. By pinning popular third party pins, you try to improve your own Pinterest profile. When people save or repin those third-party content (from your Pinterest boards), your profile would improve its status.

How to find popular third party content?
You can do this in a very simple way. Just go to your Pinterest profile and type your blogging niche in the search bar. Now, repin those first 5-10 pins that Pinterest shows in the search results. These are the most loved, most clicked and most popular pins in your niche. By pinning these pins to various boards belonging to your profile, you would improve your Pinterest profile.
Do this regularly, from time to time and you would definitely see an improvement in the repin rate of your own pins.
Thus, these are 3 simple ways in which you can grow your blog traffic with Pinterest. Make sure, you try these strategies!
